The Community Health Outreach Promoter will be responsible for the successful implementation of the health, hygiene promotion, education, and awareness components of HEALTH in the target areas of International Medical Corps. The Community Health Outreach Promoter works within the local community to promote engagement in health issues.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities- Build partnerships with key stakeholders and individuals in the community.
- Liaise and coordinate with program staff for project implementation.
- Carry out awareness-raising sessions and outreach activities to inform community members about available services.
- Facilitate and organize awareness sessions for communities on basic health concepts and key health activities conducted at International Medical Corps health facilities.
- Facilitate the community in passing their complaints to management through CBFRM transparently.
- Act respectfully and with cultural sensitivity towards colleagues and the community.

The Brick-Kiln Workers’ Health and Safety study aims to gain a better understanding of the health and safety brick kiln workers in Pakistan, particularly Sindh province. In this study we will assess brick kiln workers current living and working conditions, experiences as a brick-kiln worker including recruitment and hiring practices, and occupational health and safety. We have designed an intervention to improve the working conditions of brick kiln workers in Sindh.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- actively engage in research, with special emphasis on collaborative projects, particularly related to climate change, environmental and occupational health & injuries
- carry out major tasks related to brick kiln intervention study in the field (province of Sindh) including designing, implementation, evaluation and monitoring activites
- develop proposal and submit for extramural funding under supervision of senior faculty and in collaboration with international agencies develop independent research programmes
- write articles independently on assigned projects, under the supervision of senior faculty, and pursue publication of the same in professional journals
