Job DescriptionThe incumbent will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care to pediatric oncology patients reporting to Shared Care Centre (SCC), Larkana (outpatient/ward)
She/he will ensure delivery of high-quality patient care, maintain accurate documentation and provide daily handovers to support continuity of care.
· This is Contractual Position of Staff Nurse Pediatric Oncology, Larkana - Evening Shift (3 PM – 10 PM).
· Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to pediatric oncology patients in the ward.
· Administer medications, treatments, and supportive care as prescribed by the medical team.
· Monitor patient condition, including vital signs, and report any changes promptly.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
· Conduct daily handovers to incoming nursing staff, ensuring continuity and clarity in patient care plans.
· Assist in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient treatment and recovery.
· Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.
· Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families as needed.
· Participate in ongoing training and development activities to stay updated on pediatric oncology nursing best practices.

Responsibilities:
As a member of the Oncology team, you will work under the supervision of the team's attending physician and will contribute to the overall care and coordination of patients.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- issuing and supervising discharge orders for all patients meeting the discharge criteria
- conducting an exit/evening round on patients to evaluate the patient’s condition and the outcome/follow-up of morning orders
- conducting morning rounds on all patients with the inpatient team and coordination of patients identified as “possible” and definite “discharges” one day prior
- evaluation and coordination of oncology patients in the outpatient clinics
- ensuring the chemotherapy orders are entered and administered in a timely manner
- being on-call (via phone) for any situation requiring an urgent physician decision regarding management, discharges transfers and for any out-patient queries
