Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the building's interior and exterior spaces. This role requires excellent leadership, advanced mechanical skills, and the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
· Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
· Conduct routine maintenance inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.
· Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
· Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
· Support maintenance and installation work as needed, including hands-on problem-solving and technical tasks.
· Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
· Maintain records of maintenance activities, supplies, and equipment inventory.
· Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
· Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
· Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
· Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
Qualification and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or certification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision, or a similar role.
· Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
· In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and other building systems, including electrical and structural components.
· Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform labor-intensive tasks as needed.
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management.
