Research Specialist (Computer Sciences), Department of Surgery

Introduction The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.
This is a short-termed, grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for:
- development and deployment of Andriod / iOS / web-based applications
- creating reports and presentations for scientific purposes
- ensuring confidentiality and security of data
- managing cloud storage.
- monitoring the performance of deployed applications and troubleshoot issues in production environment.
Requirements: You should have:
- a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- at least two years of relevant work experience
- experience with web development frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.
- experience with mobile app development frameworks like React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android development
- proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
- strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment.
