About The Role

We are looking to hire 2 QA Automation Engineers for our Lahore office.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:



To carry out all duties associated with the quality assurance and testing of the SUT, both Automation & Manual.

To assist with the design & development of both Automation & Manual test scripts including any associated test documentation in line with industry standards & best practices.

To assist with the execution and maintenance of the current library of Automation & Manual test scripts.

Proactively reviewing and maintaining the test automation repository of both Regression and sprint-based features.

Actively capture and execute exploratory tests of the SUT, to help diversify the test coverage and identify edge case defects.

To monitor all stages of the software testing life cycle (STLC) to help identify & improve any potential system or workflow bottle necks.

Accurately document and raise software defects via JIRA and liaise with developers until the defect is fixed and retested.

Ensure that the SUT meets the agreed requirements & acceptance criteria and communicate any issues found to the development team.

To help produce testing reports and metrics (when required)

To take steps to ensure that you are familiar with the latest testing tools, techniques and industry best practices that are relevant to your current work, using books, periodicals, and on-line resources.

Review test environments and processes to help contribute to the CI/CD process and maintenance of quality standards within the automation sphere.

To attend and actively participate in sprint planning/stand up/retrospective meetings.

To help other QA’s when requested, offering a measured level of assistance based on your own commitments and work schedule.

To adhere to any prevailing QA procedures, formal or informal, which are in force.

To ensure that all work produced is of high quality and complies with all specifications relevant to the work undertaken.

To continually endeavour to uphold the quality assurance of whatever product you are currently working on.

To ensure that all work produced conforms to any Company Standards that are in force at that time.

To always represent the Company and its products in a professional manner.

To liaise with other members of the Company where necessary to effectively carry out the requirements of the position.



The Essentials:



At least 4+ years’ experience as a QA Automation Tester of web-based applications.

Preferable strong working knowledge of using AccelQ’s automation platform but must have experience with any other web-based automation tools.

Good working knowledge of Design Patterns in test automation & automation frameworks

Good working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, NUnit or XUnit testing framework with C# programming language experience.

Good working knowledge of creating & using web locators such as xPath & CSS and their specific expressions & selectors.

Excellent experience of writing solid Automation test scripts.

Strong working knowledge of bug tracking and root cause analysis techniques.

Previous experience of HTML, CSS & JavaScript.

Must be able to think quickly on your feet and handle the pressure of tight deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and strong organisational skills as the role demands you to work closely with developer’s and key stakeholders.
