JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: Skills & Competencies Required: Advanced knowledge and experience to manage a child in case of emergency or urgency as per evidence- based practices (that will be assessed during interview) Candidates either with PEMC (Pediatric Emergency Medicine Course) certification or having post qualification working experience of pediatric emergency of a teaching hospital will be preferable. (not mandatory for hiring criteria) PEMC will be mandatory for those MCPS/DCH cleared candidates having ChildLife experience of 2 years and above. Job Responsibilities: Directly responsible for patients who attend the Emergency Department: • Responsible for compliance on all medical protocols set by the organization (the copy of which will be provided to you at the time of hiring by HR department) • To assess and treat patients in order of medical priority • Team lead during his/her on call duty. • To consult with Consultant ER / Telemedicine doctor in the event of a second opinion being required upon a patient • To follow the SOP’S set by the organization which will be shared with you by your physician incharge. • To document your physician notes in every P1 & P2 patients during your clinical calls. • To provide a clinical hand over of patients in written to the next colleague rostered to the next shift in the Emergency Department • To complete clinical incident and adverse drug reactions report as req. SPECIALIST / SPECIALIST Physician Incharge/ Administrator ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST / SPECIALIST CLF-CA-JD-04 Page 2 of 3 Issue no: 01 Issue Date: Apr-1, 2019 Academic Activities: • Your participation in academic activities like; monthly morbidity and mortality meetings, M&M online quiz, e-learning modules, BLS & PALS, and your academic classes being conducted by clinical instructors Telemedicine support: • He / She will be responsible to give a brief detail of patient’s assessment and management to Telemedicine physician for each patient in Resuscitation room / step down area. Performance feedback: • To improve your professional performance, it will be your responsibility to take feedback from your physician incharge on quarterly basis (after every 3 months) and to focus on your areas of improvement. • Your performance feedbacks on compliance of medical protocols will be received through email or hard copies by your physician incharge. You must acknowledge that email. Research Activities: • You should spend 5% of your time on exploring any research activity that can be helpful in your future professional growth. Your senior colleagues will help you out for research activities. Relationships: • As a member of the Emergency Department, the Consultant will be required to develop strong working relationships with the Emergency Department Nursing and Administrative Staff, and other Allied Health Staff including faculty of public sector hospitals where ChildLife Foundation is supporting their pediatric emergency department.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs130,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
