ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- Collaborate and facilitate clinical departments and sub-specialties for an effective OPPE and clinical /outcome review process including AKU Off-Campus hospitals and off-site locations such as IMSs.
- Continuously evaluate the process of OPPE of medical staff across clinical departments/sub-specialties and recommend improvement strategies to the department leadership on periodic basis.
- Supervise the OPPE process to ensure its timeliness, completion and submission of OPPE reports to credentialing department.
- Receive OPPE reports as per policy from the departments and to ensure that the reports are complete and are according to the approved KPIs / parameters. Furthermore, identify any discrepancies and ensure rectification. Maintain a central database pertaining to OPPE data.
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the OPPE data validation process to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with institutional standards across individual departmental OPPE reports. This includes establishing validation criteria, conducting thorough assessments, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of reported data.
- Perform clinical audits and develop and implement a systematic process for reviewing and evaluating specific clinical outcomes.
You should have:
- Minimum 4-6 years of clinical experience in a tertiary care setting.
- Should have at least 2-4 years of related experience in healthcare quality management and assurance, medical staff practice evaluation in a Joint Commission Accredited healthcare institution.
- Shall also possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the process of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and clinical / outcome review.
- Must be proficient in data analysis tools and software i.e. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), SPSS and other related statistical tools.
- Updated knowledge of quality healthcare systems including but not limited to peer reviews, patient care indicators etc.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of patient medical record including EMR and an ability to conduct medical record review. Ability to review, summarize and analyze medical records.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical managers, health professionals at all levels to facilitate the OPPE and FPPE
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to details and timelines.

Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, inter- and intra-professional/group communication skills, conflict resolution, and operational management/supervision skills. Fair amount of computer literacy and knowledge of relevant hospital management information systems/software operations. Effective operational leadership and a humane and professional work attitude.
