Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

· Ensure that health and safety processes align with ISO 45001 standards and other applicable regulations.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation Conduct regular hazard identification and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and potential risks to employee health and safety.

· Analyze data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, and drive continuous improvement.

· Plan and conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 45001 standards.

· Communicate health and safety performance to internal and external stakeholders.

· Engage with employees and management to gather feedback and address health and safety concerns.

· Coordinate external audits by certification bodies and regulatory agencies.

· Ensure the organization's readiness for external assessments and certifications.

Qualification and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial Hygiene, or a related field.

· Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) is highly desirable.

· 2+ years of proven experience in implementing and managing health and safety management systems, preferably within an ISO 45001 framework.

· Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement.

· Familiarity with workplace ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and safety training.

  • assist department head in developing goals, strategies and key indicators; assure compliance of targets, thereby assuring accountability and continuous improvement in core processes in his / her domain
  • assist department head in identifying quality projects, Formalizing the team, and processing the projects
  • conduct unit meetings after discussion and coordination with assigned unit supervisors to maintain two-way communication and resolve any problem related to the designated unit.
Requirements

You should have/be:

  • Graduate; preferably Masters.
  • At least 2 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess good technical skills and should be comfortable interacting with employees, physicians and other users of medical records.
  • Must be highly motivated and capable of gathering data and making sound decisions.
  • Must have leadership skills and well developed written and verbal skills.
  • Able to work in stressful situation and handle multiple tasks at one time.

  • Conduct unit meeting and counsel staff on a need basis to maintain two way communication and problem solving.
  • Liaise with other department to resolve any intervening problems to ensure smooth functioning of the unit as per Medical Records policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with ISD for system optimization on regular basis, resulting in simplified working routines and overall increased output of the department.
  • Manage staff in case of public holidays, strikes and other emergency situation to overcome shortage of the same.
  • Prepare duty roster and monitor attendance sheet ensuring sufficient staff coverage at all times.
  • Measure quality against the specific quality indicator, to assess / monitor compliance with the same.
  • Release medical information (investigation reports, discharge summaries etc.) to facilitate external customers, on a daily basis, as per HIMS policy and procedure.
  • Any other related task assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist Associates & Assistant Manager in preparation and training of staff for JCIA & ISO.
  • Perform appraisals of staff; thereby providing feedback regarding their performance throughout the year.

  • Intermediate with one year formal on job traineeship on medical record file storage, retrieval and maintenance from a reputed hospital.

Intermediate with 1-2 years’ relevant experience.

OR

Matriculate with related experience of eight years or more.
